Is Joanne out of her mind?

187 miles (the race started in Blaine, WA and ended in Langley on Whidbey Island)
24 hours
Team of 12 ladies in 2 vans - our team name was "Therapy on the Run" (we all needed a little therapy - we must be crazy to be doing this!)
No sleep (except for the hour and a half we tried to sleep on a hard gym floor - this included the fire alarms going off twice)
No showers
Lots of fun memories and beautiful scenery
And I can't wait to do it again next year!
RAGNAR Northwest Passage 2010

Each person runs 3 legs of the race - My 3 legs were 6.1 miles, 4.7 miles and 6.8 miles. The first run was in the middle of the afternoon and VERY hot. It also had some pretty good hills. The second run was about 3 am so the temperature outside was perfect, and it was fun to run in the dark with a headlamp, reflective vest, and a tail light. That run was VERY hilly. And my third run was very hilly, but at about 10 am, so it wasn't too hot yet.

What a crazy experience! Anyone want to join me when I do it again next year?

Zoo Pics

Cute pictures of the kids at the zoo!

Which ones are the monkeys and which ones are the kids?
Cameron, Ryan, Jared and Megan?

Potholes State Park

On the way back from Spokane, we stopped at Potholes State Park in Othello, WA (about 20 miles from Moses Lake). We camped for 2 nights with several families from Duvall. Potholes State Park is on the O'Sullivan Reservoir. The company was great, the campground was dry and ugly, TONS of mosquitos, and the beach was muddy. So on Friday we headed into Moses Lake to play all day at the park on the lake. The kids played in the water ALL DAY. Back at the campground, we ate lots of s'mores and had a good time. We even survived camping with Megan!

Spokane!

We packed up and headed east to see Darrin and Holly and their kids at the beginning of July. A quick run-down of our trip:

4th of July BBQ with Great-Grandma Linerud and Great-Grandma Owens, and Drew's cousin and his family, and fireworks in Liberty Lake

Spokane Indians game

An afternoon at the lake complete with boat rides in Uncle Darrin's boat. Cameron and Ryan LOVED the inner tube rides!

Dinner with Logan and Julia and their kids - so fun to see them and cute baby Henry!

And Megan's birthday - Chuck E Cheese with cousins, and yummy dinner at Texas Roadhouse.

Look at those cute braids! Thanks Aunt Holly!

And lots of shopping at Wal-Mart!

Computer Woes

Our computer has been sick for the past month, so bear with me as I attempt to get caught up now that the computer is fixed! Drew spent many, many hours trying to figure out what was wrong. THANK YOU Drew!!

Happy Birthday Megan!

Our Princess turned 2 at the beginning of July! We had a birthday party for Megan before we headed out of town. She loved the presents, the blowers and the cake!

Megan is starting to play with dolls, dress up, and loves Dora. She has all 3 brothers wrapped around her little finger - especially Ryan since she said his name first - "Ry Ry!" She loves to play outside, and she will let you read her books all day long. But she still doesn't sit still very long - there is too much to do and explore!
Happy Birthday Megan! We love you!
